What's this blog really about?

You may notice a variety of topics here - from business, to charity promotion, even to local news, but the primary reason this blog was created was to alert readers to the hostile atmosphere and sexual harassment at The Danville Register & Bee. The readers and creator of this blog want a FULL FRONT PAGE apology in the Danville Register & Bee, plus the disciplining of those individuals involved. Until then, we'll continue to post regular updates. To tolerate THIS kind of behavior by a major media network is intolerable. And this isn't just ONE instance. Media General has been sued nationwide for racism and sexism, yet they CONTINUE to keep the offenders employed. Why? And why am I doing this? TRUTH compels me.

Ah - eloquent words from a former R&B employee

I'm sorry, this is just too rich....

This is from Armand Nardi, a former R&B employee and a manager!!! Woooo. Is this the same Armand Nardi that's with Courier Corp now!!!?? Well then....what the world has to look forward to ladies and gentlemen. Were you married at the R&B? No, wait... you MARRIED one of those ladies....um hmm. Not that that makes any difference there apparently...

This is one nutty blog site. I have to leave a comment. The R&B is a great place to work. I’ve seen both men and women take advantage of great advancement opportunities.

Why yes Armand! I bet you have seen both men and women take advantage of great advancement opportunities! Apparently it usually involves sleeping with their boss - which I understand was YOU at one time. You bounced through two women there or were there more? We all know that Media General keeps people on who CONTRIBUTE to a hostile work environment, not correct it. Thanks for the email and the name. I'm passing it along to the state bar associations in every state where Media General has properties. They may find you a fascinating witness one day! You have such a way with words and with employees too!!

Armand says:
This blogger clearly was not up for the challenge of the job. It is a freaken newspaper, not a doll factory. Newspaper people thrive on pressure, deadlines and hard work. Doll factory employees need nap times and lots of pats on the head for mediocre performance.

Well, I guess if you're sleeping with the staff reporters and the people you supervise you don't have a lot of time to do that hard work yourself eh Armand? Small wonder you enjoyed the Danville Register & Bee. Tell me, do you still socialize with Robert, Steve Kaylor and others or have you found other women at your new work place to pursue?

And Armand graces us with his extensive world travels as well, explaining that:

"You think life is like Disney? That would be nice, but letmetellyousomething! I’ve been to Walt’s underbelly. About 20 feet below the Magic Kingdom is a part of Disney most people will never see. Down in these catacombs is where the employees shuffle and sweat, facilitating life lasting memories for millions of families. Down there the employees aint singing Zippidy Do Dah. They are too busy working. That’s why they call it WORK."

Thanks for sharing Armand. I don't think I'd be bragging about being down near Walt's underbelly if I were a man, but different strokes for different folks I guess. Anyway, thanks for posting. I needed another witness....
