What's this blog really about?

You may notice a variety of topics here - from business, to charity promotion, even to local news, but the primary reason this blog was created was to alert readers to the hostile atmosphere and sexual harassment at The Danville Register & Bee. The readers and creator of this blog want a FULL FRONT PAGE apology in the Danville Register & Bee, plus the disciplining of those individuals involved. Until then, we'll continue to post regular updates. To tolerate THIS kind of behavior by a major media network is intolerable. And this isn't just ONE instance. Media General has been sued nationwide for racism and sexism, yet they CONTINUE to keep the offenders employed. Why? And why am I doing this? TRUTH compels me.

Stop Big Media

I am not one sour grapes employee crying in the wilderness. Big Media - like Media General and others, are, according to StopBigMedia.com: "silencing diverse voices, abandoning quality journalism and eliminating local content (they've got evidence). Our democracy needs better media — but the FCC wants to expand the power of America's largest media companies.Only you can stop them."

Go to this website to see how The Danville Register & Bee is one of many media giants who is treating their readers with contempt and furthering their own agenda of more profits at the expense of the people.

Stop Big Media

According to Stop Big Media:

Racial and ethnic minorities make up 34 percent of the U.S. population

Yet they only own 7.7 percent of full-power radio stations 3.15 percent of television stations

The FCC's Dec. 18th decision to relax media ownership rules will make this situation even worse.

True or not? Well, The Danville Register & Bee is all-white, all-male and trying to stomp me - a female who dared object to their having fun at women's expense by filming and displaying video of women's breasts in the newsroom. Was your daughter or wife filmed? We'll never know. Nothing was ever done...no investigation. First they said they did, now they say they will. If it had been YOUR business they would have splashed it all over the front page, but they protect their own. Have they accused you of wrongdoing? Ask them why they don't police their own.

Publisher Steve Kaylor, before the "All About Her" supplement was launched told the editor he "didn't want grandmothers" and old women in it. It's not like he's a spring chicken. But that doesn't matter to Steve - who is among several in the newsroom who prefer younger women for their sex appeal. If you don't believe that - go down a few posts for the front page with the "Panty dropper" comment...

If you're not all-white, all-male or young and female and willing to keep your mouth shut - you're on the outs at The Danville Register & Bee good old boy's club. And when all the women are run off...and it's an all-boys club (uh huh...they'll like that) - who's going to stand up and object to reporters who video-tape women's breasts and humiliate your wives, daughters, mothers??? Not the publisher. Not the editor. Not the newsroom.

Yes. This is still America, this is the truth and I have the right to free speech. And I'm exercising it.
